Steele Disintegrators
— Consistent sizing for bulk raw materials
Ideal for wet clays, shales, filter cakes, limestone and other medium rocks that require intermediate size reduction between primary and final crushing. Steele disintegrators eliminate the need for other sizing machines when you don’t need fine grinding.
Steele disintegrators process wet, sticky clays in any feedable lump size, reducing material to small chips measuring 6mm or below. They also process shales, soft limestone, fireclay and other dry materials, producing an output that is 60% screenable through No. 8 mesh.
Fine grinding for smooth roll crushing
Steele disintegrators prepare materials for smooth roll crushing. They can also re-circulate flat cakes or plates from a smooth roll crusher. We make two sizes:
- Model 6B-18 — 18-inch (457mm) wide disintegrator
- Model 6B-24 — 24-inch (610mm) wide disintegrators for larger materials sizes and higher output
