Steele Double Shaft Mixers

Intensive mixing of two dissimilar wet or dry materials, or blending liquids and sludges with dry solids. Recommended when you need a homogenous blend with more tub volume for longer retention times.
These machines mix iron concentrate, baghouse dust, biochar, coal, mill scale, clay, soils and sticky clays for a high-quality homogenous blend. They use mixing knives instead of paddles, for better shearing and de-airing, plus minimal material adherence.
High-torque mixing combines with rugged construction and oversized heavy-duty components to make our double shaft mixers ideal for mixing concrete.
We offer our double shaft mixers in two sizes:
- 2030F — Estimated max. output 1300 cubic feet per hour/37 cubic meters
- 5075G — Estimated max. output 2,500 cubic feet per hour/70 cubic meters
Designed and engineered for a long service life mixing dissimilar materials
Adjustable flow rate
Our double shaft mixers isolate machine components from materials in the tub, with heavy-duty grease purged seals and open bulkheads at each shaft exit point. Adjustable-pitch knives fit on the shaft in a series of overlapping spirals — set the knife pitch to accelerate or retard material flow.
