Integrated resources
We support the Steele field service team with our engineering staff and global warehousing for parts and critical sub-assemblies. These warehouses hold deep inventories of wearing parts, shafts, bearings, switches, gearing and electrical controls — all ready for expedited delivery.
If you’re dealing with maintenance budget cuts, or retirements that deplete your knowledge base, Steele can help. Our field service technicians will work with your plant personnel to improve process ROI and reduce or eliminate unplanned downtime.
We offer 24/7 availability in the U.S. plus expedited international delivery (we know export regulations and have the certifications). We also maintain satellite warehousing in Australia, Brazil and South Africa, for fast shipments to global customers.
Repairs and rebuilds for shafts and sub-assemblies
The goal is always to keep the work on-site. For larger projects, such as repairs and rebuilds of shafts and sub-assemblies, we offer in-house repair in our Statesville, North Carolina plant.
As long as you have one of our machines, we’ll support it — no matter how old it is. We have the documentation on every machine we’ve ever made, so we can pull patterns for castings and make them in our Statesville foundry.
Our in-house machine shop finishes new cast replacement components and repairs or rebuilds shafts. Vertically integrated manufacturing keeps us in complete control of our quality and cuts our lead times too.
Our expert technicians repair and rebuild machines at our Statesville, NC headquarters.

A 71-year-old extruder comes in for some bodywork.
We cast and finished a new lower vacuum chamber on a 71-year-old extruder, for repair costs that were one-third the cost of a new machine.
